Puppy House Training is a very important step in helping you and your dog bond. Not only will it teach them the correct behavior while inside your house, but it will also help you and your dog to better understand each other. when you can pick up on even the slightest of changes in your dogs behavior, you’ll be able to accommodate to that straight away and prevent a few innocents that might happen. Puppy leash skills can help a lot with this training process. If you have an adult dog that has never been house trained, consider it as you would a new puppy. In no way scold your dog for making a mess in your apartment, since this only teaches it to be scared and wary of you, something you don’t want! Instead, anticipate when your dog needs to urinate. After your dog wakes up, eats, or plays, take it to the place that you have designated for it to relieve itself, and always clean up after it. There are a few simple Dog Training Commands you can use to better help you train your dog to behave appropriately around the home.

Problem Solving
Automatic Reflex
Avoid incidents in the house by restricting the dog to its crate until you take it out to urinate. As your dog relieves itself, use training commands like:
“Hurry up”
Then make sure to praise it. Soon your dog will urinate when you give the “Hurry up” command.

Meaningless Punishment
Control your anger while you are house training a puppy. Scolding the dog is pointless unless you actually witness it urinating or behaving in a manner which you have taught it not to indoors. If you have to, make sure to use the training command
“NO!”
In a stern voice and move the puppy to its designated spot.

Prevent accident from occurring by constantly supervising the puppy. If direct supervision is not possible, it is better to keep the puppy in its crate. This, along with the puppy training commands you have learned today will better help you and your dog get through the house training process.
House training puppies and dogs can help your pet get accustomed to how your house works. It’s vital that you house train your puppy or dog from an early age. Even more so if you have children in the house.

House training puppies will help to keep your dog happy and safe as you show it the ropes. So take the times, care and devotion that you puppy or dog deserves when you are house training it. By doing this, not only will you be house training your puppy, you’ll also be forming and growing an everlasting, devoted friendship with your dog.

An important element of training golden retrievers used with pups has to address the matter of chewing. Golden retriever puppies are notorious for chewing who, left unsupervised, will chew all the way right through your home.

Not surprising really, as a pup makes use of its jaws to investigate its environment. A sport shoe or your favourite suede boots, a plastic toy or an iPhone, a piece of rag or a classy suit; they are not picky and they will mouth if they become bored or during teething or as a result of feeling lonely.

Puppy golden retrievers, like toddlers, are always exploring. They can be viewed as intrinsically inquisitive. So you should keep any property well out of reach. That includes anything you do not wish to go into the puppy’s mouth – books, newspapers, cell phones, garments, iPod, foodstuffs (in particular chocolate which is poison to canines) – and much more.

Make sure your home is safe for a puppy by confirming that household cleaning products, garbage and anything that may well choke a puppy are locked away or definitely beyond reach.

Dogs can be made to understand to stop chewing your possessions, nevertheless it will take sufficient determination and patience for success:

1.	Start with avoidance. Restrict the pup to a particular zone until you are confident she has learned the limits. The more frequently it obtains a nibble of prohibited objects, the more likely she will attempt to replicate this misdeed.
2.	Have plenty of chewing playthings at the ready. Accept that puppies need to chew. Therfore buy a lot of toys and provide her a small number at a time to enjoy, changing them regularly to prevent boredom.
3.	Actively watch as much as possible. When she is allowed outside of her particular zone, she requires you to“steer” her as she examines the rules and discovers what is not permitted. When you can’t supervise your dog, put her in a crate for security, but please do not let her stay locked up for prolonged periods of time because she will soon get fed up.
4.	Steer away from misunderstanding wherever possible. Never offer old boots or garments, etc., to amuse her because she will not be capable to appreciate the distinction between the old ones and the rest.
5.	Whenever you catch her chewing, act without delay. Distract her by making a sudden sound and offer her a suitable substitute plaything or chew. When she takes it, praise her generously.

Keep in mind golden retrievers are eager to give pleasure, although accept that there will be failures as your pup finds out the rules of your home. It takes patience and repetition as in any facet of golden retriever puppy training. The more time you can give, the sooner your puppy will learn.

Crate training puppies is met with a lot of mixed reaction amongst pet lovers. Many pet lovers would argue that crate training puppies is cruel and to lock a dog up is nothing short of punishment or abuse. Imagine coming home and instead of seeing the usual site of your dog coming to greet you there is no sign of him. You go inside your home and look everywhere and eventually you find him stuffed into a tiny birdcage at the back of a closet. To many people this is their perception of crates and is the primary reason why this supposed form of dog training is condemned or met with very strong opposition. However, the question is this, is crate training puppies cruel?

What we need to do is take a step back and examine the concept objectively. The issue is when a human views a crate, what does our beliefs project to us concerning what the crate is The moment we see this cage before us we immediately associate it with a prison . This is what most normal people would conclude, however, do you think your dog agrees with that conclusion? Crate training puppies is about tapping into our dog’s basic instinct. It is very much about recreating a more natural environment, or at least a closer replica. Your dog doesn’t see a cage, he sees a den.

For most people the realization that a dog might just prefer to live in a crate is madness, so think about this; the dictionary definition of a den is a comfortable, usually secluded room in a house. A den in a home is a sanctuary. A place of solitude where humans can relax and feel safe. That is what a den is to a human home. Dogs in the wild live in lairs or dens for the very same reasons. Crate training puppies is about recreating that den for your dog. The problem is that many crates look like a prison and therefore set off our human emotional triggers.

Crate training puppies performed in the right way is very healthy and beneficial to your pet. You are giving your dog the gift of a safe haven. Your dog will have a sanctuary where he can feel secure. Crate training puppies also has the important benefit of helping your dog become accustomed to living in a den again. The chief benefit of this is that your pet will be able to travel with you in a car without becoming stressed or causing a disruption in the back seat. The other major benefit is that should he ever have to stay over at the vet he will probably be crated, in which case, he is prepared for. This no doubt will cause him less stress and allow him to heal faster.

Crate training puppies when done correctly has immense benefit to your dog. The issue is to ensure that we are trained correctly in how to go about crate training puppies so that we can maximize the full potential and benefit of this form of dog training

Small dog training refers to training of those dogs which are usually small in size throughout their age. There are too many breeds of dogs that are very small in size. Sizes of different breed of dogs depend upon their type, environment, health and food. Training small dogs is sometimes much harder in comparison with training typical bull dogs and German shepherds. Smaller dogs are also known as toy dogs. Even smallest and miniature breed of dogs is also categorized as toy dogs. This is probably due to their resemblance with small toys played by children. There are a number of benefits as well as disadvantages of owning and training small dogs.

The greatest benefit of small size dogs is that they are quiet friendly to the smaller size apartments and rooms. Hence they get easily used to with the environment of your preference. It is also observed that toy dogs or small dogs are much happier, cuter and active in comparison with other large dogs such as bull dog and German shepherd. It is probably because of their naughty and cute nature. But, being small does not mean they are small in their thinking and intelligence. In fact, there are some small dogs which are quiet intelligent and even intelligent than typical large dogs.

According to general statistics and measures, it is observed that small dogs are easy to train and live with. On the other hand, typical pet dogs are quiet hard to train and also take too much time in learning. This is probably because of their lack of intelligence which is quiet awesome in small dogs. Also, it is really easy to travel with your small dogs. They are easily carry-able and do not make too much hassle at get together and in parties and journeys. Small dogs are also very easy in the sense that they do not require too much overlook.

Due to their very chilled and naught nature, small dogs can also ruin up your house. The greatest disadvantage is that they can rarely get caught. One of the most important thing required for training your small dog is firmness and friendliness. The more you are firm with your small dog in its training, the more quickly your dog will be learning. Some small dogs are stubborn and hence require too much patience of the owner in order to get trained well. Being small in size, they also require regular periods of training or teaching. Training everything at once might mix up their mind.

Small dogs also show signals and signs of anger and happiness. You should be good in noticing and responding to such signals and signs. Small dogs are very keen observer and require your attention whenever they desire. The better observer and teacher you are, the better small dog you can get. Sometimes, small dogs get crazy and do not stop shouting. They usually do so when they interpret any stranger or anything unusual. You will need to try your small dog gradually and slowly so that you can get an obedient small dog.

Small dogs are not only very cute and active but they are also loved by almost everyone. These are the dogs which are preferred and loved by almost every age group. No matter you have small babies or young children in your house, you can easily keep a small dog as a pet and you will never feel lack of activeness. For example, one type of small dog can have a different color or size in one region and other in other region. So, if you want to have a small dog as a pet in your house, you should first conduct the research on all the popular types of small dogs. Some most popular small dogs include Papillon, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire terrier, Shish Tzu and Pug.

The greatest advantage of owning and training a small size dog is that they will not require you to have an extra setup for them. You will not need a specific or dedicated room for your small dog unless you wish for it. They are also very active than other typical large sized dogs. You will not see your little Toy Poodle sitting at one place for more than few consecutive hours. Due to their extremely fast and active nature, they tend to move every here and there. Furthermore, they easily get used to with your family and children.

Many people consider small dogs as less intelligent and more problematic. Well! This is not always the case. In fact, there are many types of small dogs which are much more intelligent than large size dogs. They perform their activities with greater intelligence and responsibilities. Training a small dog does not require too much hard work. But there exist some type of small dogs, who, due to their extremely unstable nature, don’t tend to learn new things. As a result, they proved to be very hard in learning and training.

Before buying a small dog for your house as a pet, you should make sure that the dog is quiet learned and stable. Never get an extremely chilled or funny small dog as he/she will not take much time to completely mess up your bedrooms and toilets. Train your dog as firmly and patiently as you can. You need to recognize your dog’s signs and signals. Sometimes, your dog becomes very angry or wants to show his/her happiness. You should be able to respond to his/her activities so that the dog can become friendlier with you.

It is always recommended to train your small dog patiently and in a relaxed manner. The more harsh and fast you go with your small dog training, the late you will get your dog learned. So, be patient, be struggled and try to learn the signs and signals of your dog. Do respond to these signs and signals and make your small dog as your best pet friend. Small dogs are of thousands of types and they have their sub categories in different parts of the world. So, you need to conduct a good research before making your purchase.

In my article today I will cover some basics about dog training certification and why it is so important. In today’s world dogs serve principally as companions in our busy every day lives. This includes our recreational activities and they share their canine life with us. I can’t think of any other pet that forms such a close bond with a person and actually adapts to all possible circumstances of human life. They have the ability to communicate with us in their own special way and that makes them superior to all other household pets.

Most people don’t know, but some dogs behaviors come from their wolf ancestors. See wolves like canines are oriented toward life in a social unit. That is what makes the close relationship between a dog and a human possible. Alike, a wolf pack is organized group under the leadership of two dominant experienced mated pair. There is an intense loyalty among the pack members, with strict rules for coexistence, and teaching their young help to ensure the packs survival.

Like the wolf our domestic dog behave like they are apart of a young wolf pack. They display willingness to fit into our pack and follow our rules. Thing is they need an “alpha leader” to show them acceptable behavior for their life together.

The dog is not like most domestic animals, they do not live in a cage and are free to accompany us almost everywhere. With this in mind it makes it essential that a dog learn the rules for everyday life with us. This includes what behavior is acceptable in and outside of the house. Dogs should not go out on their own to jump on everybody they meet or regard strangers as enemies. When a dog is well integrated into the pack he can stay alone for many hours without acting out or misbehaving.

Coexistence is possible without problems when things are controlled. Remember that our canine has a natural willingness to accept rules and training represents nothing negative to them. Training is actually quite normal for a dog and is important and necessary. It is important as well that we don’t view our canine as a child, partner or toy as this can lead to big problems in training.

Just how much obedience we need is another question we need to answer. It will depend on your goal and your mindset. Some people reject barrack yard type of dog training tools and others think dogs should be totally free and often struggle to maintain any sort of ‘good’ behavior from their pet. The answer will also have to do with where our dog spends his time. Little training is needed for a guard dog inside of a fenced property. Now a dog that is living with a family and is apart of our daily life will need extensively more training. Look at it this way, the better a dog is trained the easier life will be as you when enjoy it with your dog.

There are quite a few problematic behaviors a dog could have, and one of the worst problems is dog barking. There are plenty of causes behind a dog who barks, and the reasons behind it should be examined carefully so that the dog barking can be brought to an end. In all cases, barking is the result of some type of environmental factor. For example, a dog may bark to demonstrate its dominance over other dogs or animals in the area. Sometimes, the barking is a means of laying claim to their territory, while on other occasions, the barking may simply be for the simple pleasure of it. Barking can be problematic for some dogs who have never been properly socialized with other dogs, and so they bark to get more attention from their owners.

How To Cure Barking

Many dog owners just make the barking problem worse by rewarding their dog when the barking stops; of course, this kind of negative attention is only a short-term fix. A dog must understand that barking is not suitable conduct and will not be tolerated, nor rewarded, in any way. When an owner shouts at their dog for their barking, this only reinforces their behavior and is a form of negative attention. Allowing a barking dog to come inside, also sustains the bad behavior, and you can expect that your response will cause the barking to persist and worsen. Treats or sympathy offered to help the dog “calm down”, are also the wrong approach, and if you use this technique, you will have many more days of dealing with this dog barking problem.

Problem barking can be corrected through several dog training techniques. One of the first strategies is to remain calm and not react when the dog begins barking at something ordinary, like a doorbell or a ringing phone. You should show the dog that the sound of the ringing doorbell or phone, is no cause for alarm, and you can do this by not getting up immediately when these sounds happen. You can help the dog become accustomed to these noises by ringing them frequently while you are in the process of training the dog, and he will soon learn that these noises do not require a response.

There are also methods for stopping dog barking problems that occur when the owner is away from the house. Ensuring that your dog has adequate diversions, ample active play time, and has no reason to feel anxious, are all positive steps to be taken to avoid barking problems when you are not home. Do not immediately give attention to a dog that was barking while you were out, wait until he has stopped, and is in a calmer state, before you give him any attention. The dog should receive praise when it isn’t barking, and when it begins barking some type of negative association should occur in response, like the sounds from a bark collar or a sharp noise.

A dog might suddenly show extremely aggressive behavior toward other dogs for a variety of reasons. Anxiety or worry are emotions developed by some dogs when approached by other dogs. In other situations, the dog might be striving to be the more dominant dog. There are times when a dog feels he’s defending his territory and becomes aggressive. If the dog is not taught proper socialization techniques as a puppy, the owner has essentially groomed the dog to be aggressive towards other dogs. Sexual aggression is another common reason for hostile behavior, whereas other dogs could just be exhibiting aggression out of an automatic defense of their owners.

A Few Tips

A method used to stop dog aggression is to ensure that the dog becomes used to other dogs as a little puppy. Puppies learn a lot when they’re allowed to play with other mature and well-mannered dogs. Like this, these puppies comprehend the correct dog actions that they see the more mature dogs doing. Once a puppy learns that other dogs being around is okay, he also learns he doesn’t need to protect his owner from other dogs, or defend his own territory either.

If a dog has already exhibited hostile behavior, the owner must promptly stop dog aggression by informing the dog that his behavior is not desired or acceptable. A dog should not be permitted to exhibit an aggressive tone without correction from the owner. Although it is not a long term fix for the challenge, a muzzle or head collar may be used during the dog’s training period.

A means to stop dog aggression is via focused training which will help tune the dog on to the directions of the master instead of concentrating it on the other dogs. When another animal confronts the dog, his focus is diverted to obeying the command issued by the owner, such as ‘sit’ or ‘down’, and not directed at attacking another dog. The master must furthermore train himself to hide his nervous behavior and emotions, since little though they may seem, the dog is becoming edgy as he senses it from his master. This helps stop dog aggression, as the owner is basically the pack leader, and the dog will follow whatever cue is given by the owner. The dog may furthermore be distracted by being taught to seek out a treat while another dog is present, after the dog has learned to concentrate. The owner can readily stop dog aggression by placing a treat on the ground and commanding the dog to retrieve it; the dog will be more focused on his reward that attacking the other dog.

As puppies mature into grown up dogs, there are various negative behaviors that can be unknowingly created. As a pup, your dog may have learned to be very obedient in certain area. Now, however, you may find that your aging canine is seeking attention in ways that he or she may not have in the past. Most owners are disturbed by continuous barking and seek ways to rectify the behavior. Barking is not necessarily a danger to anyone coming to your door, but it can become an extremely unpleasant situation. What can be dangerous as well as unpleasant, however, is when a dog is forever jumping up on other people.

Motivations for the Behavior and How to Improve It

The main reason for a dog jumping up on you is simply to show her affection, and to express how excited she is to see you. On the other hand, the dog could be trying to establish his authority over those entering his territory or he could simply be bored. Although we may enjoy the affection and excitement of our favorite pet, we certainly never want muddy paws on our favorite pair of jeans, nor does anyone wish to be inadvertently tackled to the ground. The behavior can be especially dangerous when the dog jumps up on senior citizens or small children, sometimes knocking them down in the process.

You should start training when a puppy as the most effective way to stop a dog from jumping up. Jumping up should never be given positive attention, as this only praises the dog for his behavior. To effectively eliminate a dog from jumping up, remaining consistent is paramount, in order to show your puppy that she will not receive the wanted affection by jumping up. The dog must be aware that there is only one way to receive affection, which is by exhibiting satisfactory behavior. The owner must be careful not to send the dog unclear signals. He cannot give attention to the dog when he jumps on him or other members of the family, but discipline the dog when he exhibits the same behavior on a guest. Your dog should always show the same behaviors to you as she is expected to act in the presence of visitors.

The best way to stop your dog from jumping up is to position yourself facing away from her when she tries, not giving the dog any eye contact. Ignore her completely until she is no longer overly excited, and then give her eye contact. The owner should issue a command, like sit, in order to stop the dog from jumping up on people. The dog will learn to become focused on the command, leaving him less interest in the negative behavior. Instead of only giving the pet attention when it is jumping up, the owner should try giving it the attention it is looking for when it behaves properly.
